This year’s tournament is on Sept 9th this year and I would like to invite you to sign up if interested.
This year USSSA will be the sanctioning body helping host this tournament so please visit their website to register. I wanted to let you know that we had to raise the entry fee this year due to umpire costs. We were fortunate to have umpires donate their time the past 3 years but not this year and unlikely in years to come. I’m excited for this year as we keep the same format the same as years past. We will stop the tournament after pool play to provide lunch to the teams (players and coaches) and hear some talks. This year we have a Junior from one of our local high schools who will share her story on battling mental health. Christ Ambrosi (Olympic Gold Medalist Softball Player) will also talk and be available for the tournament. We will have a raffle with some great prizes including having Christie coach your team in the first game of bracket play.
We will have vendors and health care providers on site as resources and to provide valuable materials.
I look forward to another great day for a great cause. The Peyton Riekhof Foundation for Youth Hope gives back 100% to the local communities to educate on mental health and fight the stigma associated with it to prevent suicide.
